WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. office security company stated it’s opening an investigation after two employees have been killed and one injured at a Delta Air Strains (NYSE:) airline upkeep store on the Atlanta airport on Tuesday.
WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia, citing sources, reported a Delta worker and a contractor have been killed when a tire on a aircraft exploded whereas it was being eliminated. The plane had arrived from Las Vegas on Sunday, the station reported.
The U.S. Occupational Security and Well being Administration instructed Reuters it was opening an investigation. The Federal Aviation Administration stated it was in touch with Delta concerning the incident.
Delta confirmed in a press release the deaths of two employees and the harm of one other.
“This news is heartbreaking for all of us,” Delta stated, including that the incident occurred within the wheel and brake store. “We at the moment are working with native authorities and conducting a full investigation to find out what occurred.”
