WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Seven individuals, together with a six-year-old and 16-year-old, have been killed when a bus overturned east of Vicksburg, Mississippi, early Saturday, Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey mentioned.
The 2 younger victims have been siblings, in line with the coroner.
The Mississippi Freeway Patrol mentioned the incident occurred round 12:40 a.m. on Interstate 20 close to Bovina in Warren County when a 2018 Volvo (OTC:) business passenger bus touring westbound left the roadway and overturned.
Thirty-seven passengers have been transported to totally different hospitals with unknown accidents, the company mentioned. It mentioned the co-driver was not transported.
“Anytime you have people injured or killed, it’s tragic but when you have a situation like this where you have multiple fatalities and multiple injuries, it makes it even worse,” Warren County Sheriff Martin Tempo instructed an ABC affiliate.
Huskey mentioned a lot of the passengers on the bus have been Latin American.
